WP3 will test business models and tools on real life pilots to assess the impact of each one or a combination of them on the perfromace and price distribution among the VC. Will provide data on the production of products typically associated to the Mediterranean diet (the six pilots) formulated with ingredients fairly paid to farmers, and defined in cooperation with consumers; Will assess the impact of the pilots in reports; Will evaluate the transferability potential of the pilots’ results to other Mediterranean settings; Will test the effectiveness of project outputs (tools and technologies). The above data will be gathered from the six pilots described below.
Objectives: 1. to identify ‘sustainability hotspots’ along the full supply chain from farm to consumer 2. to develop guidelines for management and operation of sustainable mediterranean agri-food systems 3. to derive key performance indicators which help consumers to identify sustainable MED agri-food products

The objectives of GourMed will be pursued by the consortium through the actuation of a work plan, consisting of six Work Packages (WPs) and spanning a three-year period. Several consortium partners participate in each WP, according to their specific expertise, know how and research & business interests, thus creating the ideal mix of technical competence, research and innovation capabilities, which is the key to guarantee a successful and timely achievement of the project objectives. GourMed’s overall work plan structure and interrelations of the WPs is depicted in Figure below
